Wynona Catherine Lamb Brown

Graveside services for Wynona Catherine Lamb Brown, 90, of Wylie, TX, formerly of Edgewood and Wills Point, are scheduled for 10:00 AM, Tuesday, August 18, 2020, at Oak Hill Cemetery in Edgewood. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service time at Hiett’s Lybrand Funeral Home in Wills Point.

Wynona Catherine Lamb Brown was born on July 6, 1930, in Wills Point, TX, to parents, Sheardy and Nora Lamb. She peacefully went home to be with the Lord on August 14, 2020.

Wynona married Bernell Brown of Edgewood, Texas on December 1, 1945, at the age of 15. She loved to work outside in her flower gardens and enjoyed reading whenever she got the chance. Wynona was also an accomplished seamstress and made quilts for her family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her infant children, Charles and Teresa; her husband, Bernell Brown; her daughter, Mary Lou McLauchlin; her daughter-in-law, Dianne Brown and her son-in-law, Joe Fred Baker.

Wynona is survived by her children, Rosa Boyd and husband Paul, Michael Brown, Lela Truett and husband Jimmy, Mary Bernadette Carr and husband Clay, and Sylvia Barker; as well as numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren who will miss her greatly.
