William Joe McManus

William Joe McManus, 81, of Edgewood, TX, passed away peacefully at home on November 3, 2024. His cremation services are being handled by Hiett’s LyBrand Funeral Home, with no services currently planned.

William was born on October 14, 1943, in Sparta, IL, to William Joe McManus, Sr. and Dorthy Thompson McManus. He grew up in Sparta, where he attended high school and laid the foundation for a life marked by hard work and dedication. For over 35 years, William thrived in sales at Anchor Inc., where he developed lasting relationships with colleagues and clients alike. Following the company’s acquisition by Fuji Film, he continued to excel until his retirement.

On June 5, 2002, William married Herminia Ramirez in Canton, TX, and they shared a loving home in Edgewood. A man of Christian faith, he found joy in life’s simple pleasures, whether it was fishing on a quiet lake, nurturing his garden, or caring for his beloved cats and dogs.

William is survived by his wife, Herminia McManus of Will Point, TX; children, John and wife June, Gene, Chris, Joey, Herminia, Diana, Vanessa and Dora; with a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren and other family and friends.
