Willard "Willie" Hise Crenshaw, III

A celebration of life for Willard “Willie” Hise Crenshaw, III, 64, of Elmo, TX, is scheduled for 1:00 PM, Saturday, December 12, 2020, at the Mill Creek Ranch Resort in Canton: 1880 N. Trade Days Blvd., Canton, TX 75103. The family has secured a block of cabins for the event. Please call to make reservations under the family’s name.

Willie passed away Wednesday, November 18, 2020, in Mesquite, TX.

Willard Hise Crenshaw, III was born on February 13, 1956, in Dallas, TX, to parents, Willard (Buddy) Hise Crenshaw, Jr. and Peggy Harden Crenshaw. He was raised in Oak Cliff and graduated from Kimball High School in 1974. Willie married Devon Gray on August 15, 1987, in Irving, TX, and they later moved and made their home in Elmo, TX, in 1995. He was a Union Journeyman electrician and a dedicated member of the IBEW Local # 20 for forty-two years before early retirement in the year 2015. Willie loved to ride his Harley Davidson motorcycle and enjoyed playing golf.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Willard and Peggy Crenshaw; mother-in-law, Joyce Gray; father-in-law, Bobby Gray and his wife, Aletha.

Willie is survived by his wife, Devon Crenshaw of Elmo, TX; daughter, Shelby Platter and husband, Garrett of Edgewood, TX; granddaughter, Emery Grace Platter; step mother, Cheryl Crenshaw of Lake Dallas, TX; brother, Dennis Crenshaw of Texarkana, TX; sister, Penny Crenshaw of TN; brother-in-law, Danny Gray and wife, Tracey of NY; sister-in-law, Renee Birdwell and husband, Gene of Wylie, TX; brother-in-law,  Donny Gray and wife, Kim Spencer of Gainesville, TX; brother-in-law, Tim Ramirez and wife, Tiffany of GA; niece, Brittany Mease; along with many other nieces and nephews.
