Vernon Alton Wentz

Vernon Alton Wentz, 80, of Gun Barrel City, TX, passed away on Wednesday, June 6, 2024, in Tyler.

Vernon Alton Wentz was born on November 16, 1943, in Kansas, to parents Roland Alton Wentz and Madeline Isabelle Householder. He was raised in various places but always loved Colorado the most. Vernon spent his entire career as a dairyman retiring from Robinson’s Dairy in Denver, CO. He was an avid fan of the Denver Broncos and enjoyed dining out, cheese puffs, coffee, and above all, spending time with his cat, Midnight.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his son, Mickey Wentz; and his sister, Elizabeth Crook.

Vernon is survived by his daughter, Lacy Morrison, and her husband, Dennis, of Gun Barrel City, TX; his grandchildren, Madalyne and Lukas; along with his beloved fur baby, Midnight.
