Tyler Jay Steinle, 40, of Edgewood, TX, passed away on August 5, 2025, in Canton, TX.
Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 AM, Wednesday, August 13, 2025, at Radiant Church in Canton, with visitation beginning one hour prior to service time. Burial will take place at 11:00 AM, Thursday, August 14, 2025, at DFW National Cemetery in Dallas, under the direction of Hiett’s LyBrand Funeral Home in Wills Point.
Tyler was born on August 27, 1984, in Sacramento, CA, to Timothy Jay Steinle and Lori Dee McMullen Steinle. He was raised in Nevada City, CA, and graduated from Nevada Union High School. Tyler went on to attend the University of Phoenix before proudly serving his country in the United States Army, where he earned a Purple Heart for his bravery and sacrifice.
On November 20, 2007, Tyler married Ashley Cowden. Together, they lived in several locations, including Las Vegas and Ft. Campbell, KY, during his military service, before settling in Edgewood, TX, in 2017. Tyler and Ashley attended Radiant Church in Canton. He had a deep love for the outdoors and was passionate about hunting, often sharing that love with friends. He also enjoyed cooking and shooting sports.
Tyler was preceded in death by his father, Timothy Steinle.
He is survived by his loving wife, Ashley Steinle of Wills Point, TX; his mother, Lori Cavenaugh and husband William of Clovis, CA; his children, Bentley Steinle, Kandra Steinle, Jaylyn Steinle, and Breelyn Steinle, all of Edgewood, TX, and Dasie Gulley of Georgia; sisters, Katie Fadley of Clovis, CA, and Sarah Poole and husband Richard of Nevada City, CA; his granddaughter, Paisley Gulley; his nephews, Noah and Benjamin; and his niece, Emma.
Tyler will be remembered for his service, his strength, and the love he had for his family and friends.
