Funeral services for Torie Anne Walker, 74, of Fruitvale, TX, are scheduled for 2:00 PM, Monday, August 8, 2022, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Wills Point. Burial will be held at Small Cemetery. Family will receive friends one hour prior to service time. Services are under the direction of Hiett’s LyBrand Funeral Home.
Torie passed away on Wednesday, August 3, 2022, in Tyler.
Torie Anne Cramer was born on January 23, 1948, in Price, Utah, to parents Fay Lynn Cramer and Nan Young Cramer. She was raised in Utah and graduated from Tooele High School. Torie married Larry Roy Walker on July 3, 1971. They lived in various places before making their home in Edgewood for 25 years and in Fruitvale for the last 2 years. Torie was a homemaker, artist, and a very talented seamstress making wedding dresses. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Torie was very active in many organizations and was apart of the Edgewood Historical Society and served as their current President. She was very creative and enjoyed baking, gardening, and spending time with her family.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Fay Lynn Cramer and Nan Young Cramer Lee.
Torie is survived by her husband of 51 years, Larry Walker of Fruitvale, TX; sons, Lance Walker and wife Carrie of Dallas, TX and Dustin Walker and wife Amber of Chandler, TX; daughter, Wendy Key and husband Jonathan of Hallsville, TX; brothers, Tom Cramer and wife Edith of Tooele, UT, and Dennis Cramer and wife Diane of Tooele, UT; sisters, Jeannie Crawford and husband Tim of Wisconsin, Darlene Rudd and husband John of Indiana, and Kelli Hamilton and husband David of Tooele, UT; grandchildren, Caitlyn Walker, Jaclyn Walker and Walker Martin.
