In Loving Memory of Tommy Lynn Malone
Tommy Lynn Malone, born on February 25, 1944, in Wills Point, Texas, passed away Wednesday, November 8, 2023 peacefully at his home. He was the beloved son of Buck Martin Malone and Dessa Dee Stewart Malone. Tommy was a man of faith who loved the Lord and was knowledgeable in conversing the word. After graduating from high school, Tommy attended Henderson County Junior College and East Texas State University. During these years he forged lifelong friendships. From 1966 -1972 Tommy served in the United States Army National Guard.
On January 28, 1967, Tommy exchanged vows with the love of his life, Linda Fox Malone, in Gainesville, Texas. They made Wills Point their home, creating a life full of love and shared experiences.
Tommy dedicated 32 years of his life as a fireman with the Mesquite Fire Department. He was a valued member of the Independent Cattlemen's Association, serving on the Board of Directors for several years, he was also a lifetime member of the American Hereford Association.
His passion for Hereford cattle started in 1957, and until his passing, Tommy continued to support the growth of the breed that he loved. He also had a special love for border collies and raising quality hay. This reflected his love for animals and the land.
Tommy is preceded in death by his parents, Martin and Dessa Dee Malone, sister Elaine Malone Blair, and brother James Mac Malone.
He is survived by his loving wife, Linda Malone, their children, Tonya Rabenaldt and husband Lance of Early, Texas, Brad Malone and wife Holly of Wills Point. Tommy leaves behind a legacy through his grandchildren: Garret Malone, Rhett Rabenaldt and wife Morgan, Grant Martin Malone, Katelyn Elaine Potts and husband Hunter, Grayce Malone, Gaybrie Malone, and great-grandson Hilton Potts. Tommy Lynn Malone will be remembered for his dedication to family, friends, love of his country, and his passion for agriculture.
Memorial services to celebrate the life of Tommy Lynn Malone, 79, of Wills Point, TX, will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, November 13, 2023, at Hiett’s LyBrand Funeral Home in Wills Point. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service time.
