Susan Lide Turner Obituary

Susan Lide Turner was born September 9, 1970 in Dallas, Texas to parents Don and Glenda and sister Jill Lide. She passed away on August 2, 2025 at the age of 54. Born and raised in Wills Point where she attended school, she went on to receive an Associate’s Degree from Tyler Junior College and a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Texas at Tyler. She worked in the banking and mortgage industry her entire professional career, closing it out with thirteen years of service for Texas Capital Bank where she advanced continually and made many meaningful friendships.

In 2003 she met the love of her life, Jason Turner, and on August 28, 2015, they married. They built a beautiful life together in Rockwall, Texas with their beloved Goldendoodle Rougie. Susan was a devoted wife, daughter, sister, “Shishy,” dog mom and friend. She had an infectious smile, zest for life and a deep desire to connect with and encourage others. She loved spending time with family, doting on Rougie, reading big books (and lots of them), investing time in her nephew and “mini me” River, and traveling. Her trips to the Caribbean, Santa Fe, Eureka Springs and Seaside were some of her favorites. Above all, she was a follower of Christ with deep faith.

She was preceded in death by her fathers, Don Lide and Jimmy Tonn. Susan is survived by her husband, Jason Turner of Rockwall; her mother Glenda Lide Tonn of Wills Point; her sister and brother-in-law, Jill and Patrick Parish and nephew, River Parish, all of Dallas; and mother-in-law and father-in-law, Gail and Rusty Day of Lubbock, Texas; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Kristina and Derek Turner of Carrollton; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Laura and Dustin and nephew and niece Levi and Ashley Turner, all of Canyon, Texas.
