Stephen "Steve" Kenneth Lee

Services for Stephen “Steve” Kenneth Lee, 76, of Edgewood, TX, are scheduled for 11:00 AM, Saturday, November 14, 2020, at Hiett’s LyBrand Funeral Home in Edgewood. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service time starting at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow at Locust Grove Cemetery in Wills Point.

Steve passed away on Tuesday, November 10, 2020, in Dallas, TX.

Stephen Kenneth Lee was born on September 12, 1944, in Hillsboro, TX. He was raised in the Oak Cliff area of Dallas, by his mother, Ruby and adopted father, Jack N. Lee, where he attended school. Steve attended First United Methodist Church of Oak Cliff with his family as a child. He began working with his father as an attendant at a local filling station at an early age. Steve moved to Edgewood in the early 60’s and lived with his “Granny Price” where he began to work for Newman’s Grocery Store. Steve continued to work for his close friends Jimmy and Yuleta Newman for many years, he never met a stranger and was loved by many. He was always a very caring and gracious man putting other’s needs before his own. Steve loved his family dearly, he always remembered to call on special occasions like birthdays and such. His family loved him tremendously and will miss him dearly.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Ruby D. Horton; father, Clinton Archer; brother, David C. Lee and sister, Carolyn McMahon.

Steve is survived by his brother, Jack Lee and wife, Debbi; sister-in-law, Joyce Lee; cousins, James Kirk Newton and Sherry Morgan, along with many nieces, nephews and so many very close friends.
