Shirley Ann Williams, lovingly known as Ann or Nanny, passed away peacefully on July 5, 2024, at the age of 83. Born on June 21, 1941, in Dallas, Texas, to Alma Frances Bolden and Sims Edward Young, Ann most recently resided in Edgewood, Texas.
Ann shared 38 wonderful years of marriage with her beloved husband, RC Williams, creating a lifetime of cherished memories together. She was a devoted mother to seven children: Cheryl Rose, Carl Long (deceased), Linda Smith, Dwayne Long, Michael Rose, Cindy Hubbard, and Kelly Langley. Her love and dedication extended to her thirteen grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild, each of whom held a special place in her heart.
As a sister, Ann shared a deep bond with her six siblings and is survived by her sister, Loretta Malone. Ann's warm heart, kind demeanor, and unwavering love for her family touched the lives of many. She will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Ann is preceded in death by her parents Alma and Sims; her siblings Dalton, Bud, Henry, Junior, and Velma; her son Carl; and her grandsons Phillip and Robert. She is survived by her husband RC, her sister Loretta, her children Cheryl, Linda, Dwayne, Michael, Cindy, and Kelly, as well as her many loving grandchildren.
A memorial service to celebrate Ann's life and legacy will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, July 12, 2024, at the Hiett’s LyBrand Funeral Home Chapel in Edgewood, Texas. Visitation will be held 2 hours prior to service time. Her impact on her family and friends will be forever remembered and cherished.
