Shirley Anne (Stone) Coyle

Shirley Anne Stone Coyle, 89, of Dallas, formerly of Wills Point, TX, passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday, March 25, 2025.

Born on November 8, 1935, in Wills Point, TX, Shirley was the daughter of William Henley Stone and Blanche Patricia Wright Stone. She grew up in Wills Point, where she graduated from high school before furthering her education in business administration. Shirley built a distinguished career at Southern Methodist University, serving as the program director for executive education and oil and gas programs. She dedicated herself to her work and retired at the age of 77.

On July 3, 1955, Shirley married the love of her life, Robert “Bob” Coyle, and together they made their home in Dallas. She was a longtime member of Park Cities Baptist Church and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. A woman of intellect and kindness, Shirley was an avid reader and had a deep love for animals, always finding joy in their companionship.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Bob Coyle; her parents, William “Buddy” and Blanche Stone.

Shirley is survived by her daughter, Candyce Coyle of Dallas, TX and her cousin, Billie Jean Ash of Florida.
