On January 18, 2024, Sharon (Cook) Eaton went home to her Heavenly father. Sharon Gaye Cook was born June 26, 1942, in Burkburnett, Texas to parents William Doyle Cook and Leafy Dell (Beck) Cook.
Sharon graduated from Big Springs High School in 1960 and was then married to Robert Glenn Eaton three years later in 1963. Sharon then graduated from Mr. B’s Beauty School in 1966. Sharon and Robert moved to Edgewood, Texas with their two children Tonya and Landon in 1970.
It was in Edgewood that they opened “Eaton’s Drive In Grocery”, a local gas station/convenience store. Later, Sharon opened “Hair Patterns by Sharon” a local hair styling salon and barber shop. Sharon was a long-time member of the First Baptist Church of Edgewood and was very active in the worship music program, she later attended Seven Oaks Baptist Church in Wills Point, TX.
Sharon is survived by her sister Candy Ingall who lives in Whitney, Texas, her daughter Tonya (Eaton) and husband Dean Stoltzfus living in Edgewood, Texas and her son, Landon Eaton living in Denton, Texas.
Sharon has eight grandchildren: Taylor Carter, Gabriel Stoltzfus, Braylin Stoltzfus, Brandon Eaton, Griffin Eaton, Ashleigh Eaton, Landry Eaton, Davis Eaton.
Sharon loved Christmas with all her grandchildren, she enjoyed gardening and being outside and had a caring passion for animals.
