Funeral services for Ruth Dale Allred Lowrie Bayless, 100, of Wills Point, are scheduled for 2:00 PM, Monday, July 8, 2019, at Hiett’s LyBrand Funeral Home Chapel.  Burial will follow at White Rose Cemetery in Wills Point. Services are under direction of Hiett’s LyBrand Funeral Home in Wills Point.

Ruth passed away July 4, 2019, in Wills Point.

Ruth Dale Allred was born April 10, 1919 to the late John Anderson and Ruthie Grier Allred. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Anderson and Marshall Allred and one sister,  Christeen Allred. She attended school in the Bright Star Community and Wills Point, but later received her GED. She married Alonzo M. Lowrie April 24, 193,7 in Terrell, Texas. He preceded her in death July 31, 2000, after sixty three years of marriage. They lived in various places, moving back to Wills Point in 1965, to help care for her elderly parents and disabled sister. She was employed by Malouf Co. in Wills Point Texas for twenty three years as a receptionist.

Ruth married Jack Bayless of Lancaster, Texas, on February 14, 2004. They had been friends for fifty years, and he preceded her in death August 15, 2005. After his death she returned to Wills Point March 1, 2006.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church and a member of the Adult Five Sunday School Department. She is an endowed member of the Order Of The Eastern Star Chapter #366 of Wills Point, and a member of The Red Hat Club. She was an avid bowler, loved to hunt and fish in her younger days and enjoyed playing Mexican Train.  

Ruth is survived by two nieces, Doris Allred Lantrip and Ruth Ann Allred Teague of Mesquite; nephew, Marty Allred of Mesquite; stepson, Dr. Kent Bayless and wife Charmayne, of Dallas; four step grandsons, Dr. Frank Lutz and wife Debbie , Matthew Bayless and wife Breanna, Richard Bayless and Jeannie King; six step great grandchildren , Hayden, Sarah, Sebastian, Jackson, Kiera and Audra; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and a  multitude of friends.

Family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday from 5:00 – 7:00 PM.
