Funeral services for Ruby Naomi Skinner, 88, of Wills Point, TX, are scheduled for 2:00 PM, Saturday, February 5, 2022, at Hiett’s LyBrand Funeral Home. Visitation will be held two hours prior to service time. Burial will follow at Starr Cemetery.
Ruby Naomi Key was born on January 4, 1934, in Dallas, TX, to George Wayne Key and Ruby Irene Grubbs Key. She was raised in Grand Prairie where she attended school. Ruby Married John Ed Goforth in 1952, and they had two children, Francine and John. She later married Morton Leroy Skinner in 1958, and had a daughter, Mary. Ruby was a homemaker most of her life, but she also was a full-time volunteer, teacher’s aide and worked with her daughter Francine. She was of the Baptist faith. Ruby enjoyed gardening, collecting stuffed animals and loved her fur babies, CoCo and Precious.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Morton Skinner; four brothers and four sisters.
Ruby is survived by her son, John Wayne Goforth of Lewisville, TX; daughters, Francine Delarosa and husband, Elias of Wills Point, TX, and Mary Skinner of Wills Point, TX; brother, Bill Key of Wills Point, TX; sister, Mary Beckham of Grand Prairie, TX; grandchildren, John Goforth, Jenny Goforth, Jordan Goforth, Christopher Goforth, Caleb Goforth, Michael Delarosa, Cecelia Williams, Elisa Wilson, Anita Skinner, Terrisa Skinner, Ruby Skinner, Amanda Norton and Corey Skinner; along with many great grandchildren.
