A celebration of his life will be held at the George’s residence on Saturday, November 13, 2021, at 11:00 AM.
Rick was born on December 3, 1955, in San Antonio, TX, to parents Floyd Glen George and Mary Joy Burch George. He was raised in Sierra Vista, AZ and graduated from Buena Vista High School. Rick later attended Eastern Arizona University where he played football, University of North Carolina and University of Texas at Arlington. He met SueEllen Dickey in college and they married on October 19, 1991, in Dallas. Rick and Sue settled in Forney to raise their five children. He was employed in sales by Rush Enterprises for forty years. Rick would have retired at the end of 2021. He was of the Methodist faith. Rick was an avid history reader and enjoyed woodworking. He loved spending time with his family and attending his grandchildren’s events.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Mary Burch George.
Rick is survived by his wife, Sue George of Grand Saline, TX; father, Floyd George of AZ; daughter, Candace Harris and husband, Ben of Rowlett, TX; sons, Christopher Elliott and fiancé, Christine Little of Lucus, TX, Daniel George and wife, Nikki of Edgewood, TX, Danny Elliott and wife, Lauren of Weatherford, TX, and A.J. George of Wills Point, TX; brother, Brad George and wife, Lisa of AZ; grandchildren, Payton Harris, Lizzy Harris, Reagan Harris, Grace Elliott, Amelia Elliott, Allie George, Ty George, Laylah Elliott, Danni Elliott and Dawson Elliott.
