Richard Devon Simmons, 71, of Edgewood, TX, passed away on Friday, March 24, 2023, at his home.
Richard was born on December 27, 1951, in Grand Saline, TX, to parents Edward Devon Simmons and Juanita Birdwell Simmons. He was raised in Edgewood where he graduated from Edgewood High School. Richard was a pipeline supervisor for Texas Utilities Fuel Company, and he worked a number of years for Able Springs Water Company.
Richard is survived by sons Curtis Simmons and Jarrett Simmons and granddaughter Alice Simmons, a brother Mickey Simmons and wife Candy, a sister Nancy Smith, and a brother John Simmons and wife Jamie, niece April Osgood, nephews Carter Simmons, Grant Simmons, Eric Smith, Coleman Simmons, and Mitchel Simmons.
