Richard Alan Marshall, 88, of Canton, TX, passed away peacefully on August 30, 2024, in Grand Saline, TX. A graveside service to honor his life will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, September 4, 2024, at White Rose Cemetery in Wills Point, TX. The service is under the direction of Hiett’s LyBrand Funeral Home.

Born on December 23, 1935, in Dallas, TX, Richard was the son of William Earl Marshall and Mary Altie Strickland Marshall. After graduating from Sunset High School in 1954, he pursued higher education at Abilene Christian College. Richard served with distinction in the United States Navy from 1962 to 1966.

Richard married Annie “Ann” Martha McBride on May 3, 1974. The couple resided in Dallas before moving to Canton in 2002.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Annie Martha McBride, and his son, David Moore. Richard is survived by his grandchildren, David and Michelle; and his sister-in-law, Christine “Tina” Morris of Canton.
