A visitation for Reece Carruth, 57, of Terrell, Texas, will be held from 5:00–7:00 PM on Monday, June 8, 2026, at Hiett’s LyBrand Funeral Home.
Reece passed away on Wednesday, June 3, 2026, in Edgewood, Texas.
Reece Authur Carruth was born on August 11, 1968, in Terrell, Texas, to Wally Carruth and Joy Parrish Carruth. He was raised in Grand Prairie, where he attended school. On December 22, 2005, he married Linda Garrett in Quinlan, Texas.
Reece spent his entire career as a Journeyman Electrician and was employed by White Rock Medical Center for the past eight years. He was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed fishing, racing go-karts, and watching live wrestling. Above all else, Reece had a special love for animals and cherished the time he spent with family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Wally and Joy Carruth.
Reece is survived by his loving wife, Linda Carruth of Edgewood; daughter, Chasity Kern and husband, Jacob, of Wynne, Arkansas; stepsons, Matthew Garrett and wife, Janice, of Lawton, Oklahoma, James Rhodes and wife, Deidra, of Childress, Texas, Mark Rhodes and wife, Dawn, of Childress, Texas, and Dylan Stephenson and wife, Angel, of Lubbock, Texas; sister, Kay Daniel and husband, Lester, of Wynne, Arkansas; grandchildren, Paisley Kern, Hadley Kern, and Layton Kern; as well as numerous other grandchildren, extended family members, and friends.
Reece will be remembered for his strong work ethic, his love of the outdoors, his compassion for animals, and the love he shared with those closest to him.
