Funeral services for Phyllis Howland, 82, of Rockwall, TX, are scheduled for 3:00 PM, Monday, April 6, 2026, in the Pavillion at McLendon-Chisholm Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Hiett’s LyBrand Funeral Home in Wills Point.
Phyllis went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, April 1, 2026, in Rockwall.
Phyllis Elaine Seabolt was born on July 12, 1943, in Terrell, TX, to Mitchell W. Seabolt and Edith F. Garrett Seabolt. She was raised in McLendon-Chisholm and attended Rockwall High School. Phyllis married Jerry M. Howland on October 12, 1963, at Chisholm Baptist Church in McLendon-Chisholm, TX.
Early in their marriage, they lived in San Diego and Huntington Beach, California, before returning to Rockwall. Phyllis worked as a waitress at the K-Bob’s Steak House formerly located in Rockwall and later owned her own home cleaning business. She and Jerry were faithful members of First Baptist Church in Rockwall.
Phyllis loved music, especially Conway Twitty and Elvis Presley. She also found great joy in caring for her husband, Jerry and her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Mitchell and Edith Seabolt, and her sister, Patricia Seabolt.
Phyllis is survived by her husband, Jerry Howland of Rockwall, TX; sister, Dinah Wood and husband John and family of Royse City, TX; son, Tracy Howland and wife Kim of Forney, TX; daughter, Marie Cooper and husband Kenny of Rockwall, TX; grandchildren, Koby Cooper and wife Chesney of Grandview, TX, Kaden Cooper of Rockwall, TX, Jamey Zenter and husband Jimmy of Elmo, TX, Julie Dodson of Forney, TX, and Tanner Howland and wife Camryn of Forney, TX; and great-grandchildren, Makenzie and Beau, with baby Havyn and baby Cooper on the way; she was loved and adored by her nieces, Lori and Valerie and their families and all those who knew her.
A family gathering will follow in the Pavillion with food and fellowship.
