A graveside service for Phil Alford Houston, 64, of Carrolton, TX, is scheduled for 12:00 PM, Saturday, February 27, 2021, at Haven of Memories Memorial Park in Canton. Services are under the direction of Hiett’s LyBrand Funeral Home in Wills Point.
Phil Alford Houston, a lifelong resident of the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex, passed on from this life to his Savior on Monday evening, February 15, 2021 at his home in Carrolton, Texas. He was born May 28, 1956 in Dallas, TX. A graduate of University of Texas at Arlington, Phil was a mechanical engineer employed by the aerospace and defense industry for over 42 years. Phil was a loving father, brother, uncle, and gruncle who was always involved with his family and was very proud of his children's accomplishments. For everyone who knew Phil, he loved his discussions on family, religion, politics, and work. In his spare time, he enjoyed building things and working on cars. He always had a desire to be a homesteader in his retirement, but didn't have the opportunity.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Alford Houston and Dorotha Killingsworth Houston of Edgewood, TX.
Phil leaves behind his beloved children, son Lieutenant Connor Alexander Houston and wife Heidi currently stationed at Vicenza, Italy; daughter Caitlin Philpott and partner Rich Kawamoto of Mississuga, Ontario, Canada; their mother, Kerri (Houston) Toloczko of Naples, FL; sister Monell Weatherly and husband Michael of Itasca, TX; nieces and nephews: Cymbre Kooker and husband, Justin of Elmo, TX; Pierce Weatherly and wife Janelle of West Deptford, NJ; Choyce Weatherly and wife Devan of Magnolia, TX and five great nieces and nephews who affectionately referred to him as Gruncle Phil.
