A graveside memorial for Norma Jean Johnson is set for 11:00 AM, Saturday, June 24, 2023, at Oak Grove Cemetery in Shover Springs, Arkansas.
Norma Jean Johnson, 83, of Wills Point, TX, passed away on Monday, May 8, 2023, in Wills Point.
Norma Jean Allen was born on July 10, 1939, in Hempstead County, Arkansas, to parents, Willie Carthal Allen and Alma Pearl Goad Allen. She was raised in Hope, Arkansas before moving to Texas in 1954, and graduated from Old Mesquite High School in the year 1957. Norma later attended Eastfield College. She married Doyle Robertson and had two children, Karen Robertson and Mitch Robertson, then later married Johnny Lee Johnson on March 7, 1970, and they were married for over 50 years until his death is April 2021. They lived in Pleasant Grove for a while before making Hope, AR their home. As Norma’s health started to fail, she moved to Wills Point to be near her sister in 2017, living in Crestwood assisted living. She was a member of Unity Baptist Church in Arkansas. Norma enjoyed digging into genealogy and solving jig saw puzzles.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Johnny Johnson; parents, Willie Allen and Alma Allen; brother, Willie Dean Allen.
Norma is survived by her son, Mitch Robertson and wife, Donna of Georgia; daughter, Karen Robertson of Plano, TX; sister, Francine Hiler of Wills Point, TX; grandchildren, Matthew Robertson and wife, Emily, Wes Robertson an wife, Lindsey, Kaitlyn Robertson and great-grandchildren Asher and Saylor and many nieces and nephews.
