Nancy Charles Buchanan

Nancy Charles Buchanan, 93, of Canton, TX, passed away on Thursday, March 10, 2022, in Wills Point. She was born on July 21, 1928, in Abilene, TX, to parents John Charles Crowley and Nila Nance Crowley. Nancy was raised in Abilene where she graduated high school. She later attended Texas Tech University in Lubbock for a short time before starting her career at Eastman Kodak, where she met Robert Arthur Buchanan. Nancy and Robert got married on April 4, 1972, and moved to Canton in 1985. She worked as an Executive Secretary for Eastman Kodak for over 19 years in Dallas before retiring. Nancy was a member of the United Methodist Church in Canton, served on the church board and was also on the board of the Sarah Norman Library in Canton. She enjoyed needle point, gardening, and entertainment.

She is preceded by her parents, John and Nila Crowley; husband, Robert Arthur Buchanan; son, Robert Martin Buchanan; grandson, Kristopher Robert Buchanan; daughter-in-law, Judy Buchanan.

Nancy is survived by her sons, Paul Buchanan and wife, Michele of Canton, TX, and William Allen Buchanan of Terrell, TX; daughter-in-law, Kathleen Buchanan; granddaughters, Sara Simmons and husband, Chris of Salado, TX, and Jessica Marie Buchanan-List of Canton, TX; great grandchildren, Connor Simmons and Raeanna Marie List.
