Funeral services for Minnie “Viola” Angeles, 87, of Edgewood, TX, are scheduled for 2:00 PM, Friday, December 2, 2022, at Hiett’s LyBrand Funeral Home in Edgewood. Burial will be held at Highland Cemetery.

Viola passed away on Wednesday, November 30, 2022, in Grand Saline.

Minnie Viola Eskue was born on January 21, 1935, in Edgewood, TX, to parents Pierce Eskue and Virginia James Eskue. She was raised in Edgewood where she attended high school. Viola Married and had three children. She later married Paulino Angeles on October 21, 1982, in Oklahoma. She was employed as a Certified Nursing Assistant for Heritage Manor in Canton for many years before it closed and worked for several other nursing facilities over the course of her career. Viola was a member of the Willow Springs Baptist Church. She enjoyed shopping and loved watching her soap operas.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Pierce and Virginia Eskue; sister, Marie Talley; daughter-in-law, Anna Joslin; son-in-law, Russell Harris.

Viola is survived by her husband, Paulino Angeles of Edgewood, TX; sons, Earl Joslin and wife Susan of Murchison, TX, and Donald Joslin of Edgewood, TX; daughter, Marilyn Joslin of Grand Saline, TX; brothers, Jessie “Buster” Eskue and wife Irene of Edgewood, TX, and Jerry Don Eskue of Grand Saline, TX; grandchildren, Shelbie Joslin and husband Jason, Brittany Joslin, Austin Joslin and wife Breanna, Christopher Joslin and wife Kayla, Cory Joslin, Donald Joslin, Jr., Benjamin Joslin, Stephanie McKnight and husband Josh; great grandchildren, Jayden Earl Joslin, Annabelle Joslin, Madison Joslin, Ireland Joslin and Levi McKnight.

Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 PM, Thursday, December 1, 2022, at Hiett’s LyBrand Funeral Home.
