Maxine (Randle) Spencer

Funeral services for Maxine Spencer, 74, of Edgewood, are scheduled for 1:00 PM, Wednesday, May 30, 2018, at Bethlehem Baptist Church in Edgewood.  Burial will follow at Edgefield Cemetery in Edgewood.  Services are under the direction of Hiett’s LyBrand Funeral Home.

Maxine Spencer was born on May 11, 1944, in Edgewood, TX, to parents, Mathis Randle, Jr. and Effie Randle.  She was a life-long resident in the community, being born and raised in Edgewood and graduating from Wills Point Cartwright High School.  Maxine married Billy Spencer in 1964.  She worked for Texas Pleating sewing factory in Wills Point, was a loving homemaker and sold products as an Avon representative.  Maxine was a member of the Bethlehem Baptist Church in Edgewood.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Mathis and Effie Randle and 3 sisters, Della Lee, Carolyn, and Patricia.

Maxine is survived by her husband, Billy Joe Spencer of Edgewood; son, Noland Spencer and wife, Sherrita, of Edgewood; brother, Billy Ray Randle of Edgewood; sister, Della J. Henson of Edgewood; grandchildren, Alicia Kay Patterson, Tonya Andrews, and Danisha McKnight; great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.

A wake will be held from 6:00 – 8:00 PM, Tuesday, May 29, 2018, at Hiett’s LyBrand Funeral Home in Edgewood.
