Private funeral services for Mary Anne Keasler McCasland, 97, of Edgewood, are scheduled for 1:00 PM, Tuesday, May 5, 2020, at Hiett’s LyBrand Funeral Home Chapel in Wills Point, Texas. Services will live stream on our Facebook page, www.facebook.com/HiettLybrand. Burial will follow at I.O.O. F. Cemetery in Quinlan, Texas.
Mary Anne passed away April 29, 2020, in Rockwall, Texas.
Mary Anne Keasler McCasland was born March 18, 1923, in Quinlan, Texas to Aubrey Carlos and Mary Isabelle Graham Keasler. She grew up in Quinlan, where she graduated from high school as salutatorian. On November 21, 1940, Mary Anne married the love of her life, and husband of 75 years, R.C. McCasland. After R.C. returned from serving in the Army in World War II, Mary Anne and R.C. owned and operated McCasland Radio and TV in Riley, Texas and then later moved the business to Dallas. She retired to Edgewood on the family farm where she enjoyed gardening, cooking and her beloved family.
Mary Anne was a member of First Baptist Church in Edgewood, Texas for more than fifty years.
Mary Anne was preceded in death by her husband, R.C. McCasland; parents, Aubrey Carlos and Mary Isabelle Graham Keasler; daughter, Karran Anne McCasland Yarbrough; grandson, Douglas Roy Yarbrough; great-granddaughter, Sarah Kelsey Yarbrough; great-grandson, Jesse James Bullard; and brothers, Carlos Aubrey Keasler, Garland Edward (Butch) Keasler and John William (Billie) Keasler.
She is survived by her daughters, Shirley Sesler of Cedar Creek, Mary Bullard and Harry Real of Terrell, and Roegena McCasland of Rockwall; and son, Bob McCasland and wife, Teresa of Edgewood; 9 grandsons and 6 granddaughters; 10 great-grandsons and 21 great-granddaughters; and 2 great great-grandsons and 1 great great-granddaughter.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made in memory of Mary Anne, to Young Life, a Christian outreach ministry for adolescents. Mary Anne and R.C. were avid supporters of this worldwide ministry. Mary Anne’s granddaughter, Ashley Anderson, will manage the gifts and will notify the family of your generous donation.
