Mary Olive Mills Huddleston of Bearden, Arkansas, formerly of Wills Point, Texas, passed away July 2, 2022, in Bearden, Arkansas. Funeral services will be held at 3 pm, Thursday, July 7, 2022, at Hiett’s LyBrand Funeral Home Chapel in Wills Point. Burial will follow at White Rose Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service time.
Mary Olive Mills Huddleston was born December 24, 1931, to the late Robert Fred Mills and Hattie Mae Davis Mills in Moundville, Alabama. She married William Wayne Huddleston on December 19, 1953, and they celebrated fifty three years of marriage before his passing in 2007. Mary and Wayne resided in Mesquite, Texas and later moved to Wills Point in 1982. She then moved to Bearden, AR in 2007, after the passing of her husband Wayne. Mary was of the Methodist faith. She devoted her life to her family and was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Most would say she was the best cook in the South. Mary and her husband, Wayne, co-owned and operated Gary’s Catfish in Wills Point for several years.
Mary is preceded in death by her parents; husband Wayne; one grandchild, Jennifer Nicholson Price; three brothers and two sisters.
She is survived by three children, Kathy Mullinix and husband, Mike of Bearden, Arkansas, Gary Huddleston and wife, Glendine of Bearden, Arkansas, Gayle Johnson and husband, Scott of Wills Point, Texas; grandchildren, Amy Mullinix Wright and husband, Brent of Benton, AR, Clint Mullinix and wife, Emily of Collinsville, TX,
Heath Jacobs of Round Rock, TX, Sierra Johnson of Rockwall, TX, Dana Nicholson Satterwhite and husband, Roger of Hallsville, TX, Patrick Forrester and wife, Keilyn of Pasadena, MD, Brandy Johnson of Austin, TX, Rusty Johnson and wife, Jennifer of Rockwall, TX; great-grandchildren, Mia, Will and Reece Wright, Branton and Braxton Nugent, Aaden, Branden and Kye Forrester, Chloe Johnson, Lindsey and Logan Satterwhite, and McKenzie Price; many nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law and a brother-in-law.
