Martha "Sue" Pepper Obituary

Sue Pepper

Sue Simms Pepper, 82, Winona, passed into eternal life on Friday, May 22, 2026, in Longview, TX.

Sue was born on April 23, 1944, in Magnolia, Arkansas to the Late Herman and Alvern Camp Simms.

Being the wife of an oilfield worker, Sue had many jobs over the years. From helping with her husband’s oilfield business while taking care of Robin and Jeffrey full-time, to working in the child nutrition department at Kilgore, Chapel Hill, and Sabine ISD’s. Her latter years of employment was in the jewelry department at the 4th St. WalMart in Longview and doing the daily bank runs for First National Bank of Hughes Springs starting at the Liberty City branch.

Sue was always in the kitchen and was always up for the task of cooking way too much food for the number of people she was serving. Having her delicious meals will be missed, but her recipes will live on. We are comforted knowing that she did not suffer but passed peacefully into the arms of her Lord and Savior.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Joe Simms, Jack Simms, Herman Simms, Jr.; Sisters, Clara Camp and Frances Nelson; first husband and father of her children, Robbie Rogers; an infant son; granddaughter, Sirena Renee Warner and grandson-in-law, Kris Willbanks.

Survivors include her daughter, Robin Williams and husband David; son, Jeffrey Rogers and wife Ashley; Brent Rogers, her grandson that was raised and claimed as her son; Grandchildren, Laura Willbanks, Derrick Williams, David Williams, Jr., Doug Williams, Denver Bragg, Cheyenne Yarbrough; 10 great grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Wanda Haynes of Welcome, Mary Simms of Magnolia, Debbie Rogers of Logansport, La.; special friends, Kathy McKnight and Debra Star.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 29, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of Hiett’s-LyBrand Funeral home, 1701 Goodnight Blvd., Wills Point, TX 75169. Her nephew, Dennis Rogers, will officiate.

The family will receive friends from 1:30 p.m. until service time Friday at the funeral home.
