Lonnie passed away on Sunday, April 2, 2023, in Dallas, TX.

Lonnie Leon Turney was born on August 13, 1947, in Pittsburg, TX, to parents Lonnie Andrew Turney and Annie Laurel Powell Turney. He was raised around Dallas and graduated from H. Grady Spruce High School. Lonnie enlisted in the United States Army to serve his country during Vietnam. He married Vicki Baker in 1968, and they made their home in Pleasant Grove. Lonnie worked in sales for Wesco Electric for many years before retiring in 2013. He was an avid crossword puzzle fan.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Lonnie and Annie Turney; son, Rusty Turney; brother, Donald Turney.

Lonnie is survived by his wife, Vicki Turney of Wills Point, TX; son, Timothy Turney of Wills Point, TX; brothers, Rex Turney of Seagoville, TX, John Wood of Dallas, TX, and David Wood; sister, Linda Dehtan of Cedar Creek, TX; granddaughter, Nikki Henery and husband John; great grandchildren, Alexa Henery, Allison Turney and Chelsey Henery.
