Linda Gayle (Broach) King

Funeral services for Linda Gayle King, 76, of Wills Point, TX, are scheduled for Thursday, May 13, 2021 at 2:00 PM, at Stonepoint Church in Edgewood.  Burial will follow at White Rose Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 PM, Wednesday, at Hiett’s LyBrand Funeral Home in Wills Point.

Linda passed away early Friday morning, May 7, 2021, at her residence in Wills Point, TX.

Linda Gayle Broach King was born in Mount Pleasant, TX, January 11, 1945. She was the daughter of Howard and Willie Mae Broach. She met James Lloyd King, Sr. in 1972, and they later married on June 28, 1974. James and Linda made their home in Duncanville, where they owned and operated Duncanville Marine and Boat Sales. They moved to Wills Point in 1978, where they owned and operated King’s Marine on Lake Tawakoni.  Linda enjoyed spending time with her family, cooking, gardening and playing the slot machines.

She is preceded in death by her parents, as well as her son, Steve King in 2010 and her brother, Ronney Howard Broach.

Linda is survived by her husband, James Lloyd King, Sr. of Wills Point; daughter, Shiree Bennett and husband Matt of Wills Point; sons, Wade King and James King, Jr. and wife Tiffany, both of Wills Point; step-daughter, Charlotte Brewer and husband Brad of Kaufman; sisters, Effaitha Dean of Rockwall, and Yvonne Hobbs of Sasche; sister-in-law, Vicki Broach of Wills Point; grandchildren, Shane King and wife Jennifer, Lindy Dodgen and husband Scott, Cassidy Jones and husband Chris, Caden Bennett, Coby Bennett, James “Trey” King, III, Brittany Everett and husband Jesse, Dalton King and wife Avery, Lacey King, Trey King, Heavyn King, Hailey Brewer and Bryce Brewer; great grandchildren, Kaylee King, Catch King, Jaxson Jones, Hadley Dodgen, Hayden Dodgen, Jolee Everett, Jesse Everett, Presley King, Alylah King and Kain King; and many other relatives and friends.
