Linda Dennis Obituary

Funeral services for Linda “Denni” Dennis, 65, of Vancouver, Washington, are scheduled for 2:00 PM, Tuesday, June 16, 2026, at Hiett’s LyBrand Funeral Home in Wills Point. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Rock Hill Cemetery.

Linda passed away on Monday, June 8, 2026, in Tyler, Texas. She received her wings and began her heavenly journey, reunited with her beloved parents, Pete and Tommie Allen. She was also preceded in death by her son, Joey Dennis; father-in-law, Chuck Dennis; and brothers, Denny Allen and Jimmy Allen.

Linda Kaye Allen was born on September 2, 1960, in Arcadia, Louisiana, to Pete and Tommie Farrar Allen. She was raised in Arcadia and graduated from Arcadia High School. Linda married the love of her life, Joel Dennis, on October 12, 1991, and together they built a life filled with love, adventure, and family. After living in Dallas for a time, they embraced a new adventure and moved to Alaska before eventually settling in Vancouver, Washington, in 1997.

Linda worked for many years as a teacher’s aide in the public school system, where she enjoyed helping children learn and grow. She loved spending time on the water, dancing, singing, and participating in karaoke whenever she had the chance. More than anything, Linda cherished her family. Becoming a grandmother brought her tremendous joy, and her grandchildren quickly became the center of her world.

She is survived by her devoted husband of 37 years, Joel Dennis of Vancouver, Washington; sons, Luke Barnett and wife Mandy, Joshua Barnett, and Cole Dennis and wife Cassandra; mother-in-law, Marion Dennis of Myrtle Springs, Texas; grandchildren, Hayden and Jordan Barnett, Brieanna, Lissa, and Dixie Barnett, and Lailah, Caleb, and Carter Dennis; brothers, Eddie Allen and Boyd Allen; sisters, Barbara Osgood and Lori “Lilbit” Allen; along with numerous extended family members and friends who will miss her dearly.
