Funeral services for Larry Gene Shiflet, 76, of Terrell, are scheduled for 1:00 PM, Wednesday, June 20, 2018, at Hiett’s LyBrand Funeral Home in Wills Point. Burial will be at 1:00 PM on Thursday, June 21, 2018, at the Memorial Cemetery of College Station.
Larry passed away Friday, June 15, 2018.
Larry Gene Shiflet was born on May 29, 1942, in Dallas, TX, to parents, Lois Reagan Shiflet and Helen Marie Jirasek Shiflet. Larry married Myra Jo Golden on August 29, 1991 in Plano. Larry was a member of the Dallas County Sherriff’s Posse. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Terrell. Larry enjoyed horses, ranch work, hunting, fishing and mission work.
He is preceded in death by his parents and the mother of Kristal Hyles, Betty Lou Shiflet.
Larry is survived by his wife, Myra Jo Shiflet of Terrell; daughter, Kristal Shiflet Hyles and husband, James of Bryan; step-sons, Edy Schedule of Spring and Frank Schedule of Wills Point; step-daughters, Lori Schedule of Terrell, Kathryn Arterbury Jones of Seagoville and Karen Wilson McCarter of Terrell.
Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 PM, Tuesday, June 19, 2018, at Hiett’s LyBrand Funeral Home in Wills Point.
