Kyle passed away on Wednesday, December 1, 2021.
Kyle Earl Kennedy was born on May 9, 1958, in Hartford, Connecticut, to parents Charles Kennedy and Clarice Harris. He was raised in Hartford, where he graduated from high school. Kyle enlisted in the United States Air Force and served his country for 7 years. He then continued his public service as a dedicated law enforcement professional for over 30 years, serving under the Department of Defense, Department of Justice, and most recently retiring as a Senior Special Agent for the Department of Homeland Security. Kyle married Linda Kennedy on August 25, 1995, and lived in Bakersfield, CA, until moving to Wills Point in 2018. As a co-owner of Menchie’s Frozen Yogurt Shop in Terrell, Texas, Kyle lived out his dream of public service in a different way, by bringing out smiles in yogurt lovers every day. He and Linda attended C-Life Church in Forney.
Kyle was a dedicated and loving husband, father, grandfather (Papa), and friend. As a man a few words, his caring and devotion to those who meant the most to him were shown by action. He was always there to provide sound advice to those who needed it most and help brighten any day with his quick-witted comebacks. With his love of comic books and fascination with the latest electronic gadgets, Kyle would surely be striking up a conversation on either subject. As a man of God, Kyle knew that his place on Earth was finite, and his family takes comfort in knowing that he is with our Lord, Jesus Christ. He will undoubtedly be missed, but surely never forgotten.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Clarice Kennedy; brother, Charles Kennedy, Jr.
Kyle is survived by his wife, Linda Kennedy of Wills Point, TX; sons, Sebastian Munoz and wife, Whitney Munoz of California, Anthony Kennedy of Wills Point, TX, and Kenneth Kennedy of California; daughter, Clarise Kennedy of Wills Point, TX; sisters, Robin Kennedy of Connecticut, Jackie Kennedy of Connecticut, Madonna Kennedy of Connecticut and Rebecca Kennedy of Connecticut; grandchildren, Liam Munoz and Oliver Munoz, many nephews, nieces and good friends.
