Kun Ye Hyon

A private viewing for Kun Ye Hyon, 67, of Fruitvale, TX, will be held Tuesday, June 2, 2020, at Hiett’s LyBrand Funeral Home for immediate family.

Kun Ye passed away May 30, 2020, in her home after her battle with lung cancer.

Kun Ye was born on October 5, 1952, in Cheong Ju, South Korea, to parents, Won Hyuk Ye and Jang San Nam.  She attended school in Korea and later moved to the United States in 1973. Kun Ye moved to Texas and married Tong Hyon on October 10, 1989, in Dallas. They lived in the Carrollton area for thirteen years. Kun Ye and Tong owned a commercial cleaning service in Dallas for many years employing numerous people. Tong and Kun Ye moved to Fruitvale community for a more peaceful and slow life in 2002. Tong farmed and raised cattle and other animals while Kun Ye enjoyed gardening, pickling her own food, fishing on their farm and just being outdoors. She loved cooking from her garden and entertaining friends and family members. Kun Ye was very funny, enjoyed making others laugh, she was an impeccable dresser and always looked her best. She was a very giving person always putting others first. Kun Ye loved her family and she will be missed greatly.   

Kun Ye is preceded in death by her father, Won Hyuk Ye.

She is survived by her loving husband, Tong Hak Hyon of Fruitvale; mother, Jang San Nam of Seoul Korea; sons, Tony Hyon of Dallas, Song Hyon of North Carolina, and John Richards of New York; daughters, Janice Lee of New York, Jenny Richards of Texas, and Sae Mi Kim of Texas; two brothers in Seoul, Korea; six sisters in Seoul, Korea; grandchildren, Gina Richards, Michael Huang, Andrew Huang, Madison Lee, Megan Lee, Andre Richards, Cristifer Kim, Justin Kim, Leonardo Kim, Nadia Kim and Isabell Kim.
