Kimberly Sue Brantley

A celebration of life for Kimberly Sue Brantley, 50, of Carrizo Springs, TX, is scheduled for 11:00 AM, Saturday, August 25, 2018, at Hiett’s LyBrand Funeral Home in Wills Point. Visitation will be from 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM at the funeral home before service time.

Kimberly passed away Friday, August 17, 2018, at her home.

Kimberly Sue Shehorn was born on April 13, 1968, in Dallas, TX, to parents, David Virgil Shehorn and Lorene Elizabeth Thomas. Kimberly married Philip Eugene Brantley on June 25, 1986, in Dallas, TX. She was a homemaker and also worked alongside her husband on a variety of jobs, from building fences to installing satellite. Kimberly had many passions, but family and friends always came first. She loved cooking and decorating, and anyone who knew her knew that she loved her pets and plants. She never met a stranger and was loved and adored by many. Even after she became ill, she would go out of her way to cook meals to share, baking cookies and cakes for friends, family, neighbors and even her doctor’s offices.

She is preceded by her father, David Shehorn; paternal grandparents, Douglas and Lois Shehorn; maternal grandparents, Weldon and Evelyn Thomas; mother, Lorene Shehorn; mother and father-in-law, Gracie and Glen Brantley; brothers-in-law, Ricky Brantley and Don Poynter and several dear friends.

Kimberly is survived by her husband of 37 years, Philip Eugene Brantley; son and daughter-in-law, Cody and Miranda Brantley; daughter and partner, Lauren Brantley and Landon Davis; sister, Diana Poynter and brother, David Shehorn, Jr.; nephew and wife, John and Ashley Chaney and many extended family and friends.
