Funeral services for Kenneth E. Morris, Sr. 84, of Dallas, TX, are scheduled for 2:00 PM, Wednesday, May 20, 2026, at Hiett’s LyBrand Funeral Home in Wills Point. Burial will follow the service at Oak Hill Cemetery.

Kenneth passed away on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, at his home.

Kenneth Edward Morris, Sr. was born on May 10, 1942, in Whitesboro, TX, to parents, James Edward Morris and Effie Mae Earnhardt. He was a lifelong resident of Dallas, where he was raised and attended school. Kenneth married Mary Lee Neighbors on October 4, 1958, and together they raised three children. He was employed by the City of Dallas for 35 years. Kenneth enjoyed playing pool, gardening, and loved going to car races.

He is preceded in death by his parents, James Morris and Effie Fancher; wife, Mary Morris; and brother-in-law, Mike Boggs.

Kenneth is survived by his daughters, Debra Lynn Monie and husband Mickey of Garland, TX, and Lee Ann Morris of Plano, TX; son, Kenneth E. Morris, Jr. and wife Kelley of Mesquite, TX; siblings, Billy Jim Morris of Emory, TX, Linda Burns of Edgewood, TX, Janell Boggs of Edgewood, TX, Brenda Reynolds of Edgewood, TX, and Judy Smith of Edgewood, TX; grandchildren, Robert Ramirez, Jeff Ramirez, Jessica Ashley, Brendan Turner, Elisa Morris Graf, Nathan Gonzalez, and Melanie Caple Miller; caregiver and granddaughter-in-love, Carmen Garcia; along with many great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 5:00–7:00 PM, Tuesday, May 19, 2026, at Hiett’s LyBrand Funeral Home.
