Kasey King Obituary

A celebration of life for Kasey Lynn King, 43, of Wills Point, TX, will be held 11:00 AM, Saturday, March 22, 2025, at the Jamie Foxx Performing Arts Center in Terrell. Services are under the direction of Hiett’s LyBrand Funeral Home.

Kasey passed away on Sunday, March 16, 2025, in Dallas after a lengthy illness.

Born on June 20, 1981, in Dallas, TX, Kasey was the beloved son of Lynn and Karen Furrh King. He was raised in Wills Point, where he graduated from Wills Point High School and built a life rooted in service, family, and community. After high school, Kasey briefly attended Collin County Community College before going to the Fire Academy in Kilgore.

Upon graduating fire academy, Kasey dedicated his career to helping others as a Firefighter/Paramedic for the Garland Fire Department, earning multiple certifications and awards for his heroic efforts. Known for his selflessness and skill, he was deeply respected by his colleagues and those he served. When not on duty, Kasey worked as a Master Electrician throughout Van Zandt County, always willing to lend a helping hand.

A man of faith, Kasey loved Jesus and attended Stonepoint Church. He was a devoted father who cherished his children and took great pride in their accomplishments. Whether cheering them on at sporting events, hunting in the great outdoors, or spending time with family and friends, Kasey lived life with passion and purpose. He was a loyal friend, a loving father, and a dedicated son and brother.

Kasey was preceded in death by his grandparents, Bill and Frances King and Richard and Arlene Furrh, as well as his aunt, Gail TeBeest.

He is survived by his parents, Lynn and Karen King of Wills Point, TX; his son, Jax King of Wills Point, TX; his daughters, Ellie King of Wills Point, TX, and Dylan King of Breckenridge, TX; his brothers, Cody King and wife Kacie of Canton, TX, and Cory King and wife Kailey of Wills Point, TX; his uncle, Ron TeBeest of Wharton, TX; and his nieces, Claire, Caroline, Avery, Norah Dot and Effie. He also leaves behind a host of cherished cousins, friends, and colleagues who will miss him dearly.

Kasey’s legacy of bravery, kindness, and devotion to family will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
