Private funeral services for Judy Marceline Mayo, 66, of Wills Point, will be held on Tuesday, April 7, 2020, at Hiett’s LyBrand Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Bright Star Cemetery.
Judy passed away April 3, 2020, at her home in Wills Point.
Judy Marceline Chambers Mayo was born November 19, 1953, to the late George Washington Chambers and Ima Marceline Campbell Chambers. She was raised in Frisco and attended Frisco Independent School District. She later moved to the Mesquite area where she attended Mesquite High School. She furthered her education by taking online courses in food management and accounting. She married Melvin Mayo and they made their home in Wills Point. She was employed as a bookkeeper with Tar-Jan Carpet Services in Terrell and also managed the Braum’s Ice Cream and Dairy Store in Terrell. She and Melvin owned and operated H & H Decal, supplying decals for 18 wheelers. She enjoyed gardening, sewing and she loved animals.
She is preceded in death by her parents, as well as, her husband, Melvin Mayo in 2008; a brother, Glen W. Chambers; and her daughter, Cynthia Lynn Lowman.
Judy is survived by her granddaughters, Tiffany Harwell of Wills Point, and Brittany Akl and husband Ahmed of Austin; sister, Elaine Parkhill and husband Virgil of Mesquite; great grandson, Jayce Lee Parker of Wills Point; and many other relatives and friends.
