Juanita Tigert Fulgham passed away on Thursday, September 12, 2024. She was born on February 27, 1936, in New Boston, TX, to William “Bill” Tigert and Maybelle Hill Tigert. Raised in Northeast Texas, she grew up sharecropping. She married Alvin Eugene Seay in Kermit, TX, where Gene worked in the oilfield, and she was a homemaker. After Gene's tragic passing in a hunting accident early in their marriage, Juanita continued raising her children and eventually moved to Mesquite, TX, to be closer to family. She worked various jobs, including on an assembly line making eye glasses. Later in life, she married Charles Fulgham, and the couple lived in Balch Springs, enjoying their retirement until Charles passed away in 1996. Juanita then moved to Edgewood to be near her children and became a member of First Baptist Church. While in Edgewood, she enjoyed food and fun at the Edgewood Senior Center, and reading her Bible daily. Jaunita moved to Tyler in 2014 to be close to family and doctors. While living at Catherine Booth Garden Apartments, she met her friend, Ron Gindlesperger, and they helped one another and enjoyed each other's company.
