A visitation for JoAnn Jarrell, 82, of Mineola, TX, is scheduled for 6:00-8:00 PM, Wednesday, January 13, 2021, at Hiett’s LyBrand Funeral Home in Wills Point.
JoAnn went to be with her Lord on January 10, 2021 due to natural causes. She was born in Fairfield, Alabama on October 15, 1938. JoAnn was raised in Bessemer and attended Bessemer High School and graduated in 1957. She was also a member of 7th Street Baptist Church in Bessemer, Alabama. JoAnn was a faithful wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and aunt. God was her first priority, and was a high believer in faith of the Lord. JoAnn and Pat Jarrell were married on June 23, 1962, and have been married for 58 years. She was also known for her love of Alabama football. ROLL TIDE! JoAnn’s hobbies included quilting, sewing, caregiver to her grandchildren, and she loved the outdoors. She loved to blog about her daily adventures and told stories of her life, and about her family. JoAnn also loved to do genealogy and found Hulsey relatives dating back to the Civil War.
JoAnn is survived by her husband, Pat Jarrell; her son, Michael Scott Jarrell; daughter, Michelle Jarrell Black (David); her sister, Cathy Cowley; her Grandchildren, Megan Brook Jarrell, Amber Griham (Avery), Matthew Jarrell, Amanda Katherine Jarrell, Hailey Black, and Hayden Black; her Great Grandchildren, Winter Jarrell, Maximus Jarrell, and Aries Griham; and her nephew, Judson Barnes.
She is predeceased by her mother, Helen Cowley; her step father, Harvey P. Cowley; her brothers, William Hulsey and Pam Hulsey; her sister, Judy C. Barnes; and her nephew, Jeremy V. Barnes.
