Jimmy Hunter passed away on Friday, November 7, 2025, in Kaufman, Texas. He was born on December 6, 1959, in Tarrant County, Texas, to parents Bobby Joe Hunter and Bobbie Irene Ferguson Hunter. Jimmy was raised in Wills Point, where he attended school. He later shared his life in Edgewood with his longtime companion, Cynthia Timmins. Jimmy was a member of Kingdom Church in Canton. He loved spending time outdoors, especially when fishing or hunting.

He was preceded in death by his life partner, Cynthia Timmons; his parents, Bobby Joe and Bobbie Irene Hunter; and his two brothers, Terry Hunter and Kenneth Hunter.

Jimmy is survived by his sons, Brandon Hunter and Josh Hayes and wife Lyndsay; grandchildren, Eryn Harris and husband Tristin, and Austin Hayes; great-grandchild, Hayes Harris; and brother, Ronnie Hunter.

Arrangements were under the direction of Hiett’s LyBrand Funeral Home.
