Funeral services for Jimmy Edward DuBose, 73, of Myrtle Springs, TX, is scheduled for 2:00 PM, Wednesday, February 2, 2022, at Hiett’s LyBrand Funeral Home. Burial will follow at High Cemetery.
Jimmy passed away on Monday, January 30, 2022, in Tyler.
Jimmy Edward DuBose was born on August 8, 1948, in Tyler, TX, to Edgar Thomas DuBose and Ruby Mona Gilchrist DuBose. He was raised in Canton and moved to Dallas at a young age. Jimmy married Margaret Fry on April 23, 1974, and they lived in Seagoville. He worked as a mechanic and truck driver for most of his life. Jimmy and Margaret moved to Myrtle Springs thirty years ago to make their home. He enjoyed fishing and eating, using his chainsaw and loved burning brush in the yard.
He is preceded by his parents, Edgar DuBose and Ruby Vining; brother, William DuBose; sisters, Jessie Courtney and Mary Hemby; grandson, Brett Powell.
Jimmy is survived by his wife, Margaret DuBose of Myrtle Springs, TX; sons, David DuBose and wife, Candice of McGregor, TX, and Donnie Powell and wife, Sandy of Dickinson, TX; daughters, Ruby Garza and husband, Al of Porter, TX, Nina LaFrance and husband, Steve of Myrtle Springs, TX, and Paula DuBose of Myrtle Springs, TX; brother, Joe Vining; sisters, Pat Gomez of Baytown, TX, and Debbie Hoover and husband, Andy of Van, TX; grandchildren, Amanda Booth, Cody DuBose, Melody DuBose, Paul DuBose, Tiffany Matthews (favorite), Michael LaFrance, Justin LaFrance, Bryce Powell, Bryan Powell, Steven MacClelland, Jonathan Malek, Meagan Garza and Krisantha Bryant; along with twenty-three great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 PM, Tuesday, February 1, 2022, at Hiett’s LyBrand Funeral Home.
