Funeral services for Jerry Randell Berry, 84, of Wills Point, TX, will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, February 20, 2026, at Hiett’s LyBrand Funeral Home with Pastor Mike Roberson officiating. Burial will be held at White Rose Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to service time.
Randell passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, February 17, 2026, surrounded by family.
Jerry Randell Berry was born in Wills Point on December 20, 1941, to William Gilbert Berry and Juanita Dorothy Fellers Berry. He was raised in Wills Point where he graduated from Wills Point High School. Randell married Nyoka Couey on June 3, 1961, and they lived in Wills Point for a couple of years before moving to Rockwall for eight years, and finally making Wills Point their home once again. Jerry worked for Red Ball Motor Freight for 18 years and then owned and operated his own truck until retirement. He and Nyoka were members of First Baptist Church in Canton. Randell loved the outdoors, fishing, and was an avid hunter.
He is preceded in death by his parents, William and Juanita Berry; brother, Conn Berry; and sister, Marquita Bodin.
Randell is survived by his wife, Nyoka Couey Berry of Wills Point, TX; sons, James Randell Berry and wife Katrina of Athens, TX, and Douglas Jay Berry and wife Danae` of Wills Point, TX; grandsons, James Austin Berry, Jay William Berry, Colton Lumpkins and wife Courtney and Blake Soukup; great grandsons, Cooper (Coup) Weldon Lumpkins and Casey (Case) Wayne Lumpkins; sisters-in-law, Mossie Lea Couey and Frances Jean Berry; along with numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
