Janice Marie Deisher

Funeral services for Janice Marie Deisher, 77, of Edgewood, Texas, are scheduled for 1:00 PM, Saturday, March 6, 2021, at Hiett’s LyBrand Funeral Home in Wills Point. Visitation will be held two hours prior to service time. Burial will follow at Barrett Cemetery.

Janice went home to be with her Lord and Savior on February 26, 2021. Janice was preceded in death by her father Lloyd Peterson and daughter Paige Smith Lovell. 

Janice was born in Monahans, Texas as the only child of Lloyd and Marilyn Peterson on September 12, 1943. She spent her youth years in El Paso, Texas and graduated from Burgess High School in 1961. Janice moved to Duncanville, Texas. She worked at Southwestern Bell and rose to the management level.  She took advantage of early retirement at the age of 56 and moved to Edgewood to enjoy retirement with Mike.  While in Edgewood, Janice enjoyed living in the country and tending to goats, guineas and ducks. She loved all animals, especially dogs, and would often take in strays that ventured onto the farm. On the weekends you could find her cheering on the Razorbacks and the Cowboys. Janice loved being a grandmother. She never missed a birthday and always reached out with a birthday call. We will all deeply miss her, but she will be in our thoughts, stories and hearts for the rest of our days.  

Janice is survived by husband of 33 years, Mike Deisher of Edgewood, TX; mother, Syble Marilyn Corley of Pinehurst, NC; sons, Greg Hees and wife Kathy of Tucson, AZ, and Scott Hees and wife Lisa of Pinehurst, NC; step-children, Robin Deisher of Fort Worth, TX, and Mike Deisher and wife Aimy of Canton, TX; grandchildren, Amanda Banks and husband Brandon of Fayetteville, AR, Cameron Hees, Connor Hees, Keelan Smith, Paisley Deisher; and great grandson, Bradley Banks.
