A celebration of life for James “Jim” Easthom, 56, of Wills Point, TX, is scheduled for 2:00 PM, Saturday, August 14, 2021, at Hiett’s LyBrand Funeral Home in Wills Point.
Jim passed away on Tuesday, August 3, 2021, in Tyler, TX.
James Lindan Easthom was born on April 26, 1965, in Garland, TX, to parents, Charles James Easthom and Linda Ruth Smotherman Easthom. He was raised in Mesquite and graduated from North Mesquite High School. Jim lived in Mesquite until moving to the Lake Tawakoni area for the past twenty years. He was a fabricator welder for Frito-Lay and was also employed by Bancroft and Sons Transportation as a truck driver hauling mail from Texas to California weekly. Jim met Vickie Thompson and they have been together for the past seven years. He was of the Christian faith and his parents raised him in the Orchard Hills Baptist Church in Garland. Jim was confident in his personal relationship with the Lord. Jim loved the lake life and to go fishing. He also enjoyed riding his motorcycle, flying drones and grilling out. Jim adored his children and grandchildren, his dog Roper and loved to babysit friends and family member’s pets.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Linda Easthom.
Jim is survived by his wife, Vickie Thompson of Wills Point, TX; son, Kyle Easthom and wife, Breanna of Houston, TX; daughter, Kimber Dickey and husband, Charlie of Houston TX; brothers, Kenneth Easthom and wife, Lori of Greenville, TX, Michael Easthom and wife, Deborah of Helotes, TX, Ricky Easthom of Boyd, TX, and Lee Easthom and wife, Judy of Kaufman, TX; cousins, Terri Roberts and husband, Eric of Kaufman, TX, and Vickie Linder and husband, Jim of De Kalb, TX; grandchildren, Ava and Emily; along with numerous nieces, nephews, family members and friends.
