James Austin Cagle, Sr.

Private family graveside service for James Austin Cagle, Sr., 69, of Wills point, TX, are scheduled for 1:00 PM, Tuesday, December 22, 2020, at White Rose Cemetery in Wills Point. A private visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 PM, Monday, December 21, 2020, at Hiett’s LyBrand Funeral Home in Wills Point.

James passed away at his home on December 16, 2020.

James Austin Cagle, Sr. was born March 16, 1951 to the late James Orby Cagle and Virginia Anne Davis Cagle.  He was raised in the Dallas Oak Cliff Community.  In 1968, James married the love of his life, Lillie Wall in Dallas, TX.  They made their home in Duncanville and then moved to Wills Pont in 1982.  James was employed with the Duncanville Fire Department for 27 years, where he was a driver engineer and retired in 1997.  He was a 32nd degree Mason and member of the John C. Pelt Masonic Lodge # 1321 in Duncanville. James enjoyed hunting and fishing.

He is preceded in death by his infant son, James, Jr.

James is survived by his wife, Lillie Cagle of Wills Point; son, Joey Cagle and wife Sherry of Wills Point; daughter, Angela Annette Cagle of Grand Prairie; brother, Robert Cagle of Frost; grandchildren, Spencer Cagle, Matthew Bunce, Jed Cagle; great grandchildren, Karlin Kirby and Connely James Cagle; and many other relatives and friends.
