Jalen Wesley Lane

Celebration of Life services for Jalen Wesley Lane will be held at 1:00 pm, Monday, December 2, 2024, at Hiett's LyBrand Funeral Home in Wills Point.  Visitation will be held 2 hours prior to the service.

Jalen Wesley Lane, age 28, of Wills Point, Texas, passed away on November 27, 2024. He was born on August 1, 1996, to Robert Joel Lane Jr. and Brandie Lane Flanagan. Jalen is survived by his parents, sister, Lexi Flanagan of Wills Point, great-great-grandmother Imma Jean Flanagan of Terrell, grandmother Linda Jones of Wills Point,  grandparents Joey and Beverly Lane of Wills Point, aunt and uncle, Rusty and Kimberly Lane of Wills Point, his girlfriend Macy Penix of Mabank, and numerous other relatives and friends.

Jalen graduated from Wills Point High School in 2015 and earned his Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) degree from Trinity Valley Community College in 2019. He worked as a Home Health Nurse at Angels of Care, where he had the privilege of caring for his cousin and best friend, Rusten Lane. Jalen’s passion for nursing was matched only by his love for his family and his faith in Jesus Christ.

An avid outdoorsman, Jalen enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with his two beloved dogs, Tuff and Trigger. He was known for his infectious smile, quick wit, caring nature, and his vast knowledge of seemingly trivial information. His proud mustache and his ability to make those around him laugh will be fondly remembered by all who knew him.

Jalen's legacy lives on through his loving spirit, his devotion to his family, and the countless lives he touched through his work. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
