Hugh Cairns passed away at 1:50 am on September 18th, 2021. He was born in Frankfurt, Germany. He currently resided in Edgewood, Texas.
Hugh was a faithful servant of the Lord for the last 8 years, dedicating his life to being the hands and feet of Christ. He was a member at Stonepoint Church, which is where he expanded his love of the Lord. He was mayor of Sachse from 1998-2004, in which he was grateful to be able to serve his community. He then moved from Sachse, Tx in 2013 to live out his life long dream of owning land with cattle, horses, and chickens. He had a passion for animals, especially his dogs, who are going to miss him terribly.
We will miss his unwavering wisdom, love and compassion that he had for his family. He was our protector and leader.
He leaves behind his wonderful wife, Lindy, a daughter, Megan Pruett, her husband, AC Pruett, and granddaughters, who were the light of his life, Tenley and Hallie and a son, Chase Cairns. He also leaves behind his mother and father, Greg and Ursula Herbst along with his brother Joe Cairns and wife Marlo and his sister Rebecca Cairns, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
He will be greatly missed by everyone he crossed paths with. However, we have comfort knowing we will see him again when we cross over the gates of heaven.
Hugh passed away September 18, 2021, in Tyler, TX.
