Glenda Joyce (Stone) Hamilton

Funeral services for Glenda Joyce Hamilton, 72, of Wills Point, TX, are scheduled for 1:00 PM, Monday, January 9, 2023, at Hiett’s LyBrand Funeral Home in Wills Point. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service time. Burial will be at Bright Star Cemetery.   

Glenda passed away on Tuesday, January 3, 2023, in Kaufman.

Glenda Joyce Stone was born on October 30, 1950, in Atlanta, TX, to parents Jessie Oval Stone and Imogene Ritchie Stone. She was raised in Dallas area where she attended school. Glenda raised one daughter, Sharon, and they made their home in Dallas. She moved to Wills Point in 1984 and worked at the 24 Market until her health failed. Glenda was of the Baptist faith. She was an avid Dallas Cowboy’s fan. Glenda was affectionately known as “Mimi”.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Jessie and Imogene Stone; sister, Carrie Speights.

Glenda is survived by her daughter, Sharon Neill and husband Larry of Wills Point, TX; grandchildren, Dillon Myers and Justin Neill; great grandchild, Rush Myers. Also, niece and nephew Sandy and Steven Davis, James McDonald, great nephews Blake and Matt Davis all of Wills Point. Brothers, Danny Stone and wife Joyce of Maud, TX, Joey Stone and wife Sherry of Maud, TX, Jess Stone of Maud, TX, and Cal Stone of Quinlan, TX; sisters, Sandra Conaster of Wills Point, TX, Jan Ledbetter of Maud, TX, and Angela Stevens and husband Perry of Dangerfield, TX;
