Glenda Ruth Foster

Funeral services for Glenda Foster, 84, of Edgewood, Texas, are scheduled for 3:00 PM, Friday, April 17, 2026, at Hiett’s LyBrand Funeral Home in Wills Point. Burial will follow at Small Cemetery in Edgewood.

Glenda passed away Tuesday, April 14, 2026, in Tyler.

Glenda Ruth Wesson was born on December 24, 1941, in Kansas City, Missouri, to Glenn Joseph Wesson and Fannie Lettoa Wilcoxson Wesson. At a young age, her family moved to Edgewood, where she was raised and attended Edgewood High School, where she met the love of her life.

On March 18, 1960, Glenda married Mack Foster, and together they built a life centered around family, faith, and hard work. Throughout the years, she worked at Malouf Manufacturing, served as a secretary for Empire Gas, cared for children in local daycares, and co-owned Foster Sand & Gravel alongside her family.

Glenda lived an active and joyful life. She loved fishing, walking with friends, and spending time outdoors. She took great pride in supporting her daughter’s drill team and had a deep love for riding horses. Her faith was an important part of her life, and she was a devoted member of Rainey Chapel in Edgewood.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Glenn and Fannie Wesson; husband, Mack Foster; sisters, Alba “Babe” Bryson and Dortha Graham.

Glenda is survived by her daughter, Sherry Jean Cooper and husband Jared; daughter, Tereesa Ann Hogan and husband Rusty of Edgewood, TX; son, Johnny Glenn Foster and wife Stacy; along with numerous grandkids and great grandkids and brother-in-law, James Bryson.
