Memorial services for Gina Belle Free, 64, of Edgewood, TX, will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, February 3, 2024, at First Baptist Church in Edgewood. Services are under the direction of Hiett’s LyBrand Funeral Home.

Gina passed away on Sunday, January 28, 2024, in Tyler.

Gina Belle Adams was born on December 27, 1959, in Riverside, CA, to parents Jackie Ray Adams and Jewell Dean Kinsey Adams. She was raised in California where she attended school, later moving to Texas when her father pursued his ministry. Gina married the love of her life David Free on March 14, 1980, and they settled in Edgewood, Texas. She dedicated 21 years of her life as a clerk at Terrell State Hospital in Terrell before retiring in 2018. Gina found solace in books and digital games, but her greatest joy came from spending time with her grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Jewell Adams; husband, David Free; and brother, Gerry Don Adams.

Gina is survived by her father, Jackie Ray Adams of Timpson, TX; daughter, Candice Cabaniss of Edgewood, TX; son, D.J. Free and wife Stephanie of Edgewood, TX; sisters, B.J. Farnsworth and husband James of Edgewood, TX, Melinda Hite of Greenville, TX, Donna Joiner of Leveland, TX, and Vonda Wall and husband Tommy of Whitesboro, TX; grandchildren, Bailey, Braedon, and Brennan Cabaniss, Hudson Free, and Ryker Carroll.
